COSTA BRAVA (20.10. - 31.10.2024)

Santa Margarida ⏩ Roses ⏩ Empuriabrava ⏩ Cadaqués ⏩ Figueres ⏩ 🏖️☀️🏝️

For the past few days, we’ve been at the picturesque Costa Brava 🌊🌞🏖️ The pretty area here is not unfamiliar to us 😉 We have already had the pleasure of spending our vacation here twice in the past 🤗 Both times in Empuriabrava 🚤😉

Along the beautiful coast, you can find some of the most enchanting places in Spain, or so say the Spaniards 😃

Starting in Empuriabrava, often referred to as the “Venice of Spain.” Here you’ll find the largest marina ⛵🚤🚢🛳️⛴️🛥️⚓🪂 in Europe. Almost every holiday home has its own private dock. It’s a paradise for hobby captains. You can quickly go from your own garden directly into the boat, through the canals, and out onto the open sea 🤿⛵🚤

Just a short drive away is Roses, a charming town with a lively atmosphere despite the current season. The promenade in Roses invites you to stroll along, while the many restaurants give off the smell of fresh seafood 🐚🦑🦐🦀🐙. By the way, we also had a great campsite 🏕️🚐 here for a little longer than a week. We really enjoyed our time. Moreover, we generally enjoy every day the feeling of freedom and quality of life 🍀🥳

Further along the coast, our journey took us to Cadaqués, one of the most beautiful villages on the Costa Brava. The many white houses combined with the blue sea 🌊 create a postcard-like scenery that has inspired artists like Salvador Dali 🎨. If you want to make a side trip to Figueres—the birthplace of the surrealist artist Dalí—you shouldn’t miss visiting the Dali Museum. A must for all art lovers. Figueres is more than just a city; it’s a place full of creativity and inspiration.

Each of these places along the Costa Brava has its own charm 😄
