GRANADA (26.01. - 29.01.2025)

Discovering Granada:

A Jewel of Andalusia Between History and Modernity ✨

Granada

Granada ➡️ translated: The Pomegranate 🍎 beautifully nestled in the region of Andalusia 🏰💒🛕🕌

Whether it’s the Alhambra, the Albayzin district, the Sierra Nevada, or Sacromonte, you’ll never get bored in Granada 😄

A visit to the Alhambra was at the top of our to-do list 📋 A fairytale palace from 1001 Nights 🕌 a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. The intricate stucco work, artistic tile patterns, and the well-maintained gardens 🪴🌿🌳 transport visitors to another time 🧕👳🏽‍♀ A stroll through the magnificent Nasrid Palace is like a journey into an oriental fairy tale.

The Albayzin district is the oldest neighborhood in Granada. It has a vibrant oriental flair. Shops with Moroccan fashion and a huge selection of oriental lamps 🏮🪔 and Moroccan restaurants, from which the scent of saffron, tagine, couscous, and harira wafts 🥘🥧🏺😁

At dusk, we were drawn to the Sierra Nevada ⛄ Just 30 kilometers uphill 🗻⬆ rises the Sierra Nevada with peaks reaching over 3,000 meters. A mountain range 🧗🗻⛰️, among the highest in Europe. In winter, the mountains transform into a true paradise for winter sports enthusiasts 🎿🛷🏂⛷ while in summer, hikers 👨‍🦯👩‍🦯, mountain bikers 🚲 🚴‍♀🚵, and climbers 🧗🧗‍♂ get their money’s worth. The fresh mountain air ⛰️ and the spectacular views make every trip a great experience.

Granada leaves a lasting impression on us and definitely invites us to return 😁 But then, please, with better weather 🌞

Hasta la próxima Granada 😄
