ARCACHON (14.04. - 19.04.2025)

๐Ÿ˜Š ๐ŸŒŠ ๐Ÿด Arcachon – Franceโ€™s Coastal Gem:

Where the Sea, Delights, and Views Cast Their Spell! ๐Ÿ– ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐ŸŒž

Arcachon ๐Ÿœ

Since autumn ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ‚ 2020, when we were robbed by malicious people ๐ŸงŸโ€โ™‚๐ŸงŒ near Bordeaux on our way to Portugal, France had fallen far down โฌ‡ our list ๐Ÿ“ of favorite holiday destinations – below even Absurdistan ๐Ÿ˜…

But after five years, the time had come, and France was given a second chance ๐Ÿ˜
A visit to Arcachon, with its culinary delights ๐Ÿฆช๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿพ and breathtaking natural beauty ๐Ÿœ๐ŸŒŠ was meant to offer a fresh perspective.

One of the highlights was undoubtedly the Dune du Pilat ๐Ÿœ the largest shifting sand dune in Europe. Standing atop the over 100-meter-high ๐Ÿ” dune was an unforgettable moment. The effort of climbing the steep, sandy path was doubly rewarded with a stunning view ๐Ÿ‘€ of the Atlantic Ocean ๐ŸŒŠ

Another highlight was the French market halls ๐Ÿฆช๐ŸฅŸ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ๐Ÿข๐Ÿฆ€๐Ÿฆž๐Ÿก and fresh counters in the supermarkets. The sight of all the delicacies could easily tempt one to fill the shopping cart to the brim – so much so that at the checkout, you might think youโ€™ve just bought a small car ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ

Itโ€™s no surprise that the Arcachon region is famous for its oyster farming ๐Ÿฆช๐Ÿฆช attracting gourmets from around the world ๐Ÿšโœˆ Luckily ๐Ÿ€ neither of us like oysters.

In the end, we were able to make peace with France again.
Au revoir ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ต!
