🌞 Sunny Island Fehmarn – the kind of place that’s addictive.

We didn’t get much sun this time around on Fehmarn, but once again, we were absolutely thrilled by the island. A fresh 🌬 breeze swept across the dikes, clearing our minds and tousling our hair 👱‍♀️🧑🏻‍🦲 in the process.

With our bikes 🚲🚲 – now officially part of every future trip – we explored the flat terrain of Fehmarn, a landscape that enchants with its seemingly simple beauty.
Endless paths meandered along the stunning coastline 🌊 ⛱ leading us past gentle meadows and quaint little fishing cottages 🏘

But the greatest challenge lurked on the bike paths:
A whole army of dike sheep 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑!
They stood there calmly, as if secretly plotting to stop every cyclist with their fluffy charm 🚧🚦

Between biking stages, we were drawn in by cozy cafés 🍰☕🎂 wafting the scent of freshly baked treats 🥧🍪 – each one bursting with its own personality.

And then there was “Knust,” the little brewery.
Here, beer 🍻🍺 isn’t just brewed – it’s lived, crafted with passion and heart ♡. A place where indulgence means more than just taste.

For camping lovers, Fehmarn is pure paradise, boasting 17 idyllic campsites – sanctuaries for the soul, where time seems to stand still.

But the island also has its hidden stars.
In the tranquil fishing village 🐟🐠🏘 of Orth, we stumbled into a fictional world that feels very real to many: “Nord bei Nordwest.”
This is the spot 📍 where Hauke Jacobs juggles life as a veterinarian 👨🏼‍⚕️ and police officer 👮‍♂ while solving cases.

Fehmarn is more than a destination. It’s a feeling. A place you don’t simply visit – you take it with you.

And anyone who’s been here always finds their way back – recovery is hopeless.

Since 2016, Fehmarn has had us under its spell. And every visit confirms what we’ve long known:
