🌦🌧☔ Expectation: quintessentially British ➡️ Challenge accepted 😄

🔥☀ Reality: London on heatwave mode!

The day started promisingly – 31°C in the shade, and the sun boiling like an overexcited teapot. Perfect weather to dive into the belly of a red double-decker 🚌 – front row, top deck, naturally 🥵 After 26 stops 🚏 and just as many “mind the gap” announcements, ambition kicked in:
15 kilometers on foot 👣🐾 across sizzling 🔥 asphalt, past a never-ending photo buffet 🏛💒🏰⛲🌁🎡 being snapped simultaneously by approximately 3,000 other tourists 🤳📸📹
It felt like a collective pilgrimage in shorts 🩳 and flip-flops 🩴 – all searching for the British soul… or at least a functioning fan 🚿❄
The thirst was relentless, dragging us from one beer garden to the next. For one pint 🍺 we forked out no less than £7 (€9) 😨

💷 Speaking of money: the polymer banknotes are so tough, they could tear through your pocket like a saw 🪚😆
Of course, no London adventure is complete without 🐟 fish and chips – crispy on the outside, nostalgic within 🤤

By day’s end, the heat showed no mercy and we honestly wondered whether the London Eye 🎡 was still turning… or if our blood pressure had stopped altogether 😵‍💫🥴

💬 Our verdict: Pricey! Packed! Sweaty! But oh-so-beautiful 😍

And yes – maybe it was better 20 years ago… but at least now, it lives forever on Instagram 🤣
