PAMPLONA (10.04. - 14.04.2025)

๐Ÿฐ ๐Ÿชถ Pamplona: ๐Ÿ‡ ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ

The city ๐Ÿฐ that will always be deeply and firmly anchored in our hearts โค๏ธ forever โฃ๏ธ

โฃ๏ธ PAMPLONA โฃ๏ธ

A visit to Pamplona always begins in the old town ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿฐ for us.
The narrow, winding streets whisper stories from centuries past – of pilgrims ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฟโ€๐Ÿฆฏ ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿฆฏ stopping on their journey along the Camino de Santiago, of kings ๐Ÿคด ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿป riding through the streets, and of locals gathered over their “Pintxos” ๐Ÿซ” ๐ŸŒฎ ๐Ÿฅช ๐ŸŒฏ chatting about life.

Speaking of “Pintxos” – ๐Ÿซ” ๐ŸŒฎ ๐Ÿฅช ๐ŸŒฏ these small culinary masterpieces are often skillfully stacked on bread ๐Ÿž, held together by a wooden toothpick ๐Ÿ“Œ, and best enjoyed with a glass of red wine ๐Ÿทย In the taverns and bars, the air ๐Ÿ‘ƒ is filled with the aromas of grilled octopus ๐Ÿ™, spicy chorizo ๐Ÿฅฉ, and fine cheeses ๐Ÿง€ that tempt you to order even more ๐Ÿ“

Every evening, families ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ, friends ๐Ÿ‘จโ€โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ‘จ ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘ ๐Ÿ‘ญ, or colleagues ๐Ÿ’‚ ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚ ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€ ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿš’ gather in or outside the bars to enjoy Pintxos ๐Ÿซ” ๐ŸŒฎ ๐Ÿฅช ๐ŸŒฏ and wine ๐Ÿท

In Pamplona, life – at least in the evenings – takes place in the old town, all year round.

Then comes July, the month when Pamplona turns into a grand international stage for a week. “San Fermรญn” begins, the streets explode ๐ŸŽ‰ with red ๐Ÿ”ด and white โšช, drums ๐Ÿฅ beat, and people dance ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ•บ sing, and celebrate.

The city pulses with excitement, but a dark shadow hangs over this festival ๐Ÿ˜ข

The bullfights ๐Ÿƒ ๐Ÿ‚! A bloody spectacle upheld by tradition, yet increasingly controversial. While some cheer in the arena, others watch in distress, recognizing the suffering of the animals – what was once a test of bravery is now widely criticized.

But Pamplona is more than just San Fermรญn – it is a city of character, history, and indulgence. Those who wander its streets feel the energy ๐Ÿ’ก, the love โค for tradition, and the joy of life.

Would you be savoring Pintxos ๐Ÿซ” ๐ŸŒฎ ๐Ÿฅช ๐ŸŒฏ in a tavern, or throwing yourself into the heart of the festivities? ๐Ÿ˜Š

From 2006 to 2011, we regularly celebrated the diversity of Pintxos with friends โค๏ธ โค๏ธ โค๏ธ

Of course, we celebrated San Fermรญnโ€ฆ

but we skipped the bullfights ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป
