Benidorm
We started in Benidorm, where sunseekers can enjoy themselves almost year-round 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 Originally a small fishing village 🎣🏙️,
Today, Benidorm is famous for its impressive skyline, often compared to that of Miami.
Benidorm has the highest density of high-rise buildings [per capita] in the world 😱 Tourists from all over the world flock here to enjoy the warm Mediterranean climate.
This was not our first visit to Benidorm. We’ve been here 3, 4, or even 5 times already.
We are basically repeat offenders 🤭
The same goes for Altea, by the way 😉
Altea
Beautiful Altea ❣️🏘️
On the way to the elevated church ⛪ with the blue domed roofs, comfortable shoes 👟👞 are definitely recommended. A combination of cobblestones and narrow paths leads uphill to the popular church square ⛪
The church square offers a brilliant view 📸🎥
Altea has the typical white houses that were once protected by a solid city wall. Here you will find numerous art studios and craft shops, as well as many bars, cafes, and delicious restaurants 😉
In our opinion, it’s the most beautiful little town on the Costa Blanca 🌊
Xàbia
In Jáver, also spelled Xàbia, you can experience nature at its best.
Jávea not only has beautiful coves with crystal-clear water 🌊🎣🥽 The vast Montgó Natural Park ⛰️ is a true paradise for hiking enthusiasts 👩🦯👨🦯 and climbers 🧗♀
But it’s not for us 🚷; I’ve got bad knees 😐
The lively old town, with its small shops and bars, suited my/our taste better 🦐🍸
Calp
Calp (also known as Calpe) is famous for its imposing rock, the “Peñon de Ifach” 🪨 This striking rock 🪨 rises from the sea and offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean 🌊
The vibrant fishing scene 🎣 and the harbor is an ideal place to enjoy fresh fish 🐟🐠 and seafood 🦐🦑 The restaurants along the promenade serve delicious dishes made from the freshest ingredients.
Both in the old town and along the coast, traces of Roman and Moorish history can still be discovered today.
Calp has much to offer not only historically but also for nature lovers, making it a suitable travel destination.
However, we preferred to enjoy the excellent weather 🌞 on the beach 🏖️ 😎
Fun Fact 🤓
In Calp, there is the apartment complex “La Muralla Roja,” which is known from the Netflix series “Squid Game” 😱
Each of these beautiful coastal towns along the Costa Blanca has its own unique charm 😌
Only those who have traveled to them 🚌🚅🚲🛥🛫💺🚀 know just how unique they truly are❣️
