Peñíscola 😲

Yes, you read that right! We were in Peñíscola 😅 The town with the name that kept us giggling for quite a while 😅

But Peñíscola is much more than just a funny name – it’s a beautiful little town on the Spanish coast 🌊🏖️🌅🏝️ with an impressive 🏰 castle that majestically overlooks the sea and was once home to Pope Benedict XIII.

Imagine wandering 🧑‍🦯🚶🏼 through the narrow streets of the charming old town, enjoying the fantastic view 👀 of the Mediterranean Sea, while trying not to giggle at the name 😅

At least that’s how it was for us 😅 And then there are the beaches! Miles of sandy beaches with plenty of typical bars 🍷 and restaurants 🍽, most of which were unfortunately closed in January 🤷‍♀ which isn’t unusual for this time of year.

Peñíscola may have a quirky name, but it’s an interesting town full of beauty, charm, and history.

For us, Peñíscola will be remembered not just because of its name 😁
